This is what Happy Looks Like

Title: This is what Happy Looks Like
Author: Jennifer E Smith
Rating: Top Shelf

I have really got to give it to Jennifer E Smith, she has been the hi-light of my summer reading so far! Jennifer is the best at writing feel good YA romance books. As a romantic myself, I can really get lost in her writing and I am easily transported to a new world.  This is what Happy Looks Like is no exception!

In this book an email accidentally gets sent to the wring place beginning a special friendship between Graham Larkin and Ellie O' Neill. They talk about everything, except their names or backgrounds. Teen superstar actor Graham finds out the name of Ellie's town in Maine and suggests that his new hit movie should be filmed there. Will they ever cross paths or find each other without knowing more than each-others email address? What will happen if they do? Will there be the same instant connection there was online? You will just have to read and find out!

I would recommend this book for vacations or time by the pool for females who like a good love story. However, there is no wrong time to read a great book like this one. There is nothing nasty or inappropriate in it making it available for a wider audience. I found it to be a faster read even though it is around 400 pages. I personally read it in a day because I could not put it down.

You will also want to check out my blog posts on Jennifer E Smith books Hello, Goodbye and Everything In Between, The Geography of You and Me, and The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight.

I hope you check out this book as well as the other Jennifer E Smith books I have blogged about. For other recommendations similar to this feel free to leave a comment or find me on Instagram @thebooksundermybed.

The Geography of You and Me

Title: The Geography of You and Me
Author: Jennifer E Smith
Genre: YA Romance
Rating: Top Shelffffff!!!!!

The Geography of You and Me was a fresh twist on young adult romance books. I could not put this book down! Jennifer E Smith is a magician with words and I know I personally am on a mission to read all of her books this summer. I would recommend this to higher middle school or high school girls. It was a very good summer beach read. I know I personally enjoyed reading it at the pool and at the beach and I had it finished in 1 day.

Lucy and Owen met in an elevator during a massive blackout on a beautiful New York night. After a magical night filled with wonder and adventure ends and power is restored it is back to the real world. Lucy moves. Owen moves. Postcards and emails are exchanged back and forth, but is that enough? Will they ever get back to that night?
Read and find out!

I truly hope you check this book out as well as other Jennifer E Smith books. I have reviewed Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between in the past and keep your eye out for my review of The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight which should be up soon!

Library of Souls

Title: Library of Souls
Author: Ranson Riggs
Rating: Middle shelf

This is the third book in the Peculiar Children series by Ransom Riggs. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the series it is a young adult adventure series that was written based on old photos found and collected by Riggs. There is no other book like this on the market right now. It is one of a kind and the series is worth the read. I would recommend it to middle school age and up. These books have something for everyone in them.
In Library of Souls, Jacobs and his friends journey continues to save Miss Peregrine and the rest of the peculiars. If he cannot save them soon, it may be too late! I am looking forward to the next book, Map of Days and to see how it fits in with the rest of the story line. This was not my favorite book in the series, but it was a very good addition.
Make sure you check out this series! I guarantee you will love it! It is also a great english lesson if you read the first book and then watch the movie. Then you can conduct a comparison activity between the book and the movie. There are many differences.
The order of the series is: Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, Hollow City, Library of Souls, and Map of Days is coming out in October! The film is Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children directed by Tim Burton.

Restore Me

Title: Restore Me
Author: Tahereh Mafi
Rating: TOP SHELF!!! MAYBE EVEN HIGHER THAN TOP SHELF!!!!

Tahereh Mafi has done it once again!! She has wrecked my emotions in a little more than 400 pages as well as testing my patience with making me wait another year for book 5 and probably another year after that until book 6. This has been one of my favorite series for years and to see all of the sudden there was three more books about Juliette, Warner, Adam, and the rest of the Reestablishment brought me the greatest joy.

This book picks up right after Ignite me when Juliette becomes Supreme Commander of North America. As she starts to figure out where to go for there as a new diplomat as well as where to go with Warner. Things start to heat up as she learns more about how to rule, more about herself, and more about Warner. Is what she is hearing the truth? Is this all lies? Who can she trust? Where will she go from here? READ TO FIND OUT!

I read this book in 3 days and I couldn't put it down. It was so good to step back into Juliette's storyline without skipping a beat. I cannot see where the story goes from here. You should most defiantly check out the Shatter Me Series! The order is Shatter Me, Unravel Me, Ignite Me, Restore Me, Book 5, and Book 6 with 2 novellas in between.

Happy Reading!!

Warcross

Title: Warcross
Author: Marie Lu
Rating: Top Shelf

Well, Marie Lu has done it again ladies and gentlemen. Warcross was everything that I look for in a book: engaging, exciting, thrilling, and twisting. This book is the perfect blend of gaming and romance. It was awesome to get to read more of her work. You really can't go wrong with any of her books!!! I think this book appeals to a wide variety of readers due to the virtual reality aspect but the romance could appeal to a slightly older market.
This is the first of two books in the duology. The book follows Emika Chin, a bounty hunting hacker that is busted broke and about to be evicted. Emika enters the world of virtual reality through the black market and ends up getting sucked into the biggest competition of Warcross as a wildcard player.

This is a book for everyone and you will most defiantly want to get your hands on a copy. I am not a very patient person and I truy cannot wait to get my hands on the last book to see where the story goes!!
