The Geography of You and Me

Title: The Geography of You and Me
Author: Jennifer E Smith
Genre: YA Romance
Rating: Top Shelffffff!!!!!

The Geography of You and Me was a fresh twist on young adult romance books. I could not put this book down! Jennifer E Smith is a magician with words and I know I personally am on a mission to read all of her books this summer. I would recommend this to higher middle school or high school girls. It was a very good summer beach read. I know I personally enjoyed reading it at the pool and at the beach and I had it finished in 1 day.

Lucy and Owen met in an elevator during a massive blackout on a beautiful New York night. After a magical night filled with wonder and adventure ends and power is restored it is back to the real world. Lucy moves. Owen moves. Postcards and emails are exchanged back and forth, but is that enough? Will they ever get back to that night?
Read and find out!

I truly hope you check this book out as well as other Jennifer E Smith books. I have reviewed Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between in the past and keep your eye out for my review of The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight which should be up soon!

Library of Souls

Title: Library of Souls
Author: Ranson Riggs
Rating: Middle shelf

This is the third book in the Peculiar Children series by Ransom Riggs. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the series it is a young adult adventure series that was written based on old photos found and collected by Riggs. There is no other book like this on the market right now. It is one of a kind and the series is worth the read. I would recommend it to middle school age and up. These books have something for everyone in them.
In Library of Souls, Jacobs and his friends journey continues to save Miss Peregrine and the rest of the peculiars. If he cannot save them soon, it may be too late! I am looking forward to the next book, Map of Days and to see how it fits in with the rest of the story line. This was not my favorite book in the series, but it was a very good addition.
Make sure you check out this series! I guarantee you will love it! It is also a great english lesson if you read the first book and then watch the movie. Then you can conduct a comparison activity between the book and the movie. There are many differences.
The order of the series is: Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, Hollow City, Library of Souls, and Map of Days is coming out in October! The film is Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children directed by Tim Burton.
